LeQuina Knox is a Florida-based writer with cerebral palsy. While growing up, she never saw stories that reflected the lives of black disabled women. As a result, she became invested in creating the types of narratives she wanted to see in the world. Through sharing her experiences, she hopes to motivate others to do the same.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Literature and Cultural Studies, as well as a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of South Florida. It was here that she started her work on disability identity and intersectionality. Black Girl Rolling will explore these themes in a more personal way.
While you can expect personal anecdotes about disability literature and culture, you may also find advice on advocacy for people with disabilities and their families.
